COP/BIDANI promotes proper oral hygiene
In line with the Community Outreach Program/ BIDANI’s advocacy to combat malnutrition through oral hygiene among children, a demonstration on proper tooth brushing was given to Kinder and Day Care pupils in Barangay Taminla, Dueñas on 20 July 2015 and Brgy. Pinaopawan, Igbaras on 12 August 2015, respectively. Ms. Ma. Glyza A. Ciasico, staff of the COP/BIDANI demonstrated the proper tooth brushing with the aid of a short video presentation for children.
Sixty pupils in Brgy. Taminla and 22 pupils in Brgy. Pinaopawan participated in the activity. Each child was given a hygiene kit that contained toothbrushes, a toothpaste, bathing soap and a face towel. Some instructional materials and toys were also turned over to the Kinder and Day Care teachers of these barangays. Meanwhile the Barangay Health Workers who helped facilitate the activity together with the barangay officials also received some tokens.
The items provided, including the snacks served were sourced from the offering of honor graduates during the Baccalaureate celebration held on 25 June 2015.
