The University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) achieved another milestone after getting a perfect passing rate in the recently-concluded Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination.
All of the 25 graduates of UPVTC's BS Accountancy program from the Class of 2015, as well as two re-takers, passed the highly-competitive examinations held earlier in October, based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission.
A total of 5,468 out of 13,317 accountancy graduates, or 41.06 percent, passed the examination administered by the Board of Accountancy in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Lucena.

The other is the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, which had 30 examinees.
Other UP units that offer Accountancy programs, UP Diliman and UP Visayas-Iloilo, achieved a passing rate of 98.70 percent (76 out of 77) and 77.19 percent (44 out of 57), respectively.
The Accountancy program of UPVTC’s Division of Management, touted as one of the best in the country, consistently produces top notch graduates in the field of accounting.
It last achieved a perfect passing rate for its entire BS Accountancy fresh graduates in the October 2012 CPA Board Examinations.
