July is Nutrition Month Celebration nationwide!
In line with this, the National Nutrition Council, Region VI with its Regional Nutrition Technical Committee (RNTC members) wherein COP/BIDANI is a member, conducted a series of search for the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (ROBNS) as early as March, 2017.
The aim is to assess the efficiency of local level plan implementation through Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI), measure changes in weight status of pre-school and school children during the evaluation year and the immediate past two years. To determine the extent of which nutrition is integrated into local development plans and programs, and to advocate for the continuing support for local nutrition programs. Another objective is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Barangay Nutrition Scholars in responding to the tasks mandated to them.
