This is a tradition that started way back in the early 80’s when what was then the predominantly rice field areas of the campus were planted with thousands of trees that now populates alongside its road networks. When the campus formally opened its doors in 1989, trees were everywhere. No wonder the campus has been declared as a bird sanctuary by the LGU of Miagao.
