The Institute of Aquaculture (IA), College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas (UPV) organized and conducted an Academic Aquaculture Enrichment Training for public school teachers at the UPV Miagao campus on April 16-20, 2018.
In response to RA 10742 – An Act Establishing Reforms in the Sangguniang Kabataan to Create Enabling Mechanisms for Meaningful Youth Participation in Nation Building, UP Visayas, in partnership with DILG Region VI and the UPV Foundation Inc., began the Mandatory Training for newly elected SKs today, May 17, 2018.
In recognition of her academic achievements, Ms. Farisal Bagsit, University Research Associate of the Institute of Fisheries Policy and Development Studies (IFPDS), College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas (UPV), was recently initiated to The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at the East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina, USA.
Phi Kappa Phi is one of the oldest and most selective honor societies that recognizes excellence in all academic disciplines. Founded in the University of Maine in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi’s mission is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community scholars in service to others. Membership to the organization is by invitation only by an established campus chapter, and is restricted to students with integrity and high ethical standards and who are ranked scholastically in the top of their class, regardless of field of study.
